Surfing 'new' San Diego
Downtown San Diego makes USA Today with a piece on the Gaslamp revival into the "next South Beach".

I think it would be better for San Diego to be unique and not try to model itself after other cities. Broadway is named after the famous street in NYC, Gaslamp Quarter is a play on the French Quarter. I like names like Cortez Hill and Balboa Park.
